think that lions only appear in Africa, but they appear everywhere in the world! Most of the time females protect the tribe from any harm from predators, and people. These large cats can get up to 6 feet tall! Another thing a lion does is, they are carnivores, which mean they only eat other animals. Unlike other lions, Asian lions are the most endangered large cat species in the world. An Asian lions can get up to 6 feet tall, and the largest Asian lions measured was about 9 feet and 5 inches long!

Information:
Since Asian lions are the most endangered cat species in the world, only 500 to 600 survive in the wild. In fact, only twenty-five percent of the Asian wild clubs die before age 2. Asian lions live in a group called a pride, and their pride is generally smaller than other lion groups. Unlike other lion groups, the female Asian lions protect their pride from any harm that comes. Young males eventually leave their pride and they may establish their own prides by taking over a group headed by another male. Most Asian lions lions live in Saharan, Africa but some smaller populations exist in India's Gir Forest. Not many Asian lions exist,but about 360 of them live in zoos.
